Pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 (Personal Data Protection Code), when you register on our site to be able to access the conventional and additional warranty provided by Power One S.p.A. on the “Inverter” product you purchased, we would inform you of the following:

i. Purpose of processing

Your data are collected in order to:
- proceed with registering you on our site and consequently giving you access to (and benefit from) the conventional and additional warranty provided by Power One S.p.A. on the “Inverter” product you purchased according to the terms and conditions of the warranty itself, regarding which we invite you to read the related text;
- make it possible for you to access both public and private sections of the site;
- enable the implementation and maintenance of any subscription services or online software ;
- comply with the requirements laid out by law and/or regulations;
- send information of a technical and/or commercial nature [related to services and/or similar goods to those you purchased];
- enable the efficiency of the service provided to be constantly monitored.

ii. Type of data requested

The data that you will be asked for concern your general details (name, surname and address), email address, the location of the “Inverter” product purchased and the GPS coordinates of that inverter.

iii. Nature of data provision

Provision of the data requested is compulsory in order to proceed with your Registration on the site and for you to benefit from the conventional and additional warranty provided by Power One S.p.A. on the “Inverter” product, whilst it is optional for other purposes such as sending information and advertising material. Failing to provide the data makes it impossible for you to register on the site on the one hand and impossible to receive information and advertising material on the other.

iv. Processing methods

Your data will primarily be processed using electronic and IT devices and stored both in electronic format and as hard copy (as well as on any other suitable medium), in compliance with security measures and according to principles that are strictly related to the aforementioned aims and, in any event, in such a way as to ensure the security and secrecy of the data.

v. Technology

IP address tracking technology and cookies will be used to track visits to the website.
1. IP addresses : the IP addresses of all visitors accessing our website are collected. The data collected are employed to diagnose possible technical problems and prevent intrusions and any abuse of the service.
2. Cookies: 'cookies' are used to enhance use of the services provided, as a cookie is linked to a specific visitor. Cookies are also used to determine how much traffic the site gets and to remember visitors' preferences when they access the site. Visitors to the site will be able to disable tracking cookies on their browser , though this could, in some cases, cause certain malfunctions when using our site.
In any case, in delivering this site's services, cookies are not used to transmit information of a personal nature, nor are persistent cookies of any type, or systems for tracking users, used. The use of session cookies (that are not stored permanently on the user's computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (made up of random numbers generated by the server ) necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site.

vi. Entities to which personal data may be communicated

Personal data relating to the processing in question can be communicated to companies in the ABB Group, including those abroad and outside the European Union, so that Power One S.p.A. is able to carry out activities under warranty or, if necessary, that are not covered but that you request, in jurisdictions where Power One S.p.A. does not carry out such services directly but uses companies in the ABB Group present and/or operating there and/or their trusted subcontractors. The data may also be communicated to internet operators hired by ABB to manage its domains.
The data will not be circulated.

vii. Rights of the data subject

With regard to the processing of personal data, pursuant to Article 7 of the Personal Data Protection Code:
You have the right to obtain confirmation as to the existence or not of personal data that concerns you, even when not yet on record, and the communication thereof in an intelligible form.
You have the right to be informed of:
a) the origin of the personal data;
b) the purposes and methods of processing for which the data is destined and the consequences of any refusal to answer;
c) the principle applied whenever processing is carried out by electronic media;
d) the personal details of the holder and managers;
e) the entities and categories of entity to which the personal data could be communicated or that might have knowledge thereof in their capacity as responsible parties or persons in charge thereof.
You also have the right to obtain:
a) updating, rectification, or, where interested therein, integration of the data;
b) the erasure, anonymisation or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data that do not need to be retained for the purposes for which they were initially collected or subsequently processed;
c) certification that the operations contemplated in paragraphs a) and b), and also their content, have come to the knowledge of the entities to which the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right to be safeguarded.
Finally, you shall have the right to object, in whole or in part:
a) on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data that concern you, even if they are relevant to the purpose of the data collection;
b) to the processing of personal data that concern you for the purpose of sending out advertising or direct sales material or for conducting market or commercial communication surveys.
